Do coffee beans dry faster in a fluid bed roaster?
I'd say, in general, every stage is faster for a fluid bed roaster. I'm not familiar with the roaster you are using, but you could try a lower charge temp in an effort to slow the dry phase down, or use a higher volume of beans. Sans all that, try sticking to beans that tend to respond well to fast

Advice for more flavorful/fragrant roasts?
Maybe do 2 roasts. One of the nice things about the quest is its ideal batch size is 150 (nice but a double edge sword when you just want to roast once for a whole week or two). You could do one roast at each roast level. Chris Schooley recommends this profile for central american coffees. I've used

Loving my new Smart Plug for my espresso machine.
Yep, I couldn't find one either. I've been using the Labovon Wifi Smart Plug for a few weeks. It so nice waking up or coming home to a ready machine. Mine has a setting to set up schedules too
