Should I first upgrade Rancilio Silvia or Niche Zero for light/medium espresso

1-2 milk drinks and about 2 espresso a day, yes. I have indeed considered getting an intermediate machine, though the BDB (or any Breville) has never made the list because I just don't like the looks of them, at all.. I will look into the DF64, thanks! Great to hear you're happy with your setup. It ...

Should I first upgrade Rancilio Silvia or Niche Zero for light/medium espresso

I did my best to stretch between 1st & 2nd as per Mike's suggestion and I went further

How to make a chocolate blend?

Hello all! I've roasted and drunk a lot of SO's but lately I've been trying to experiment with blending coffees. What I would like to make is a chocolate blend with the addition of some floral and/or citrusy notes for which I'll use a Yrg or an Harrar. But how do I go about composing the ever so pop...

What about "overdosing" makes channeling more likely?

It really depends Jasper; the traditional Northern American roasting style is indeed lighter than the Italian style of roasting. However, the "3rd wave" roasters tend to roast darker, as does *$. I don't however think that a darker roast benefits from a higher dose per sé, I think it depends on the ...
