Mobile or hotel room brewing?
You might think that I am unaware of that but you're wrong. And while reaching for the improbable don't forget to include infectious prions in the mix. It's not completely impossible that someone with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease washed their underpants in your hotel kettle. Of course it happens. It's ...

That sucks. Well, better to have a normal heart rhythm though. What do you do in the morning instead of coffee? Cry? :-) Thanks for doing all the work to find a tasty decaf. I'll be giving that one a try for sure. Could it have been coincidence that your heart was acting up when you were drinking it?

Mobile or hotel room brewing?
I can appreciate that point of view. You can never know. Same goes for so many things. Maybe somebody died in your hotel bed. Or maybe the last person in the room had a communicable disease. Perhaps they stuck the door knob, TV remote, or the shower control handle up their rear end. When you go to a...

Mobile or hotel room brewing?
It's whatever level of caution or paranoia one feels is appropriate since you can't really know what was done. At least you can look inside a kettle yourself

Mobile or hotel room brewing?
Bring an air mattress for the floor as it's best not to sleep in the beds either. People drool on their pillows. There could be bedbugs as well so probably you don't even want to sleep inside the room. Stay in your car in the parking lot

That seems very sensible. Have you found any sort of substitute for a morning cup of coffee? When I first stopped consuming caffeine I didn't have any decaf on hand and tried a cup of miso soup in the morning. I love miso soup but it was not a substitute for coffee

Caffeine break
I was wondering about that yesterday when I read John's post, whether tapering would work to minimize withdrawal symptoms. And 30 days! That's far longer than I would have imagined it would take for one's brain chemistry to return to a non-caffeine affected state. The only one? Either you're very pi...

Was the issue with caffeine or coffee specifically? I stopped consuming virtually all caffeine. I'm still drinking coffee (right now this very minute in fact)

I'm just starting to explore decaf. So far I've had Ritual Los Montanos Decaf, Chromatic Shadow Puppet, Saka Decaffeinato, and George Howell JardÃn Espresso. I love the Chromatic decaf. Ritual (which is the one I had years ago by accident) is pretty good. The Saka is too roasty for me despite the fa...
