Olympia Cremina... Sliding puck?

I did try that, but the ridge on top of the screen made the thickness too great for my portafilter to fit into the group head

Olympia Cremina... Sliding puck?

I tried to fit it to my Cremina, but have not succeeded. The diameter is too large and the height is too long. {image} I may try some surgery to see if I can fit it. If I am successful, I will post here. It would be great to have OP share some photos

ISO gooseneck kettle with base >= 6.5" for induction cooktop

Thanks Paul. That's good to know. The manual for my induction cooktop says that the cooking element will not heat if the pan size is less than 5.5". It says that if it is less than 6", full power is not available. I tried a 5" diameter pan and it does heat, but perhaps not at

ISO gooseneck kettle with base >= 6.5" for induction cooktop

I've searched and can't seem to find *any* gooseneck kettles that are compatible with my new induction cooktop. The smallest heating elements are 6.5" in diameter, so the flat base of the kettle needs to be at least this large. Does anyone know of such a kettle? Thanks, Joe

HG-1 Prime user experience

Sorry about the bad video links. I'll try again here. I am attaching links to a couple of videos: one of me grinding (17.7 grams of beans), {video} and one of me pulling a shot on my Olympia Cremina with those beans. {video} I hope you can see minimal effort to grind and no

HG-1 Prime user experience

My HG-1 Prime arrived this afternoon It is, indeed, small & light: just like the specs say. I was surprised when I set it on my counter: it felt and sounded like a suction cup being attached to a smooth surface. The reason is that the bottom is completely covered in a nice

HG-1 Prime user experience

No trouble with the original HG-1 at all. I wouldn't have thought about upgrading, but my son kept pestering me to give the original HG-1 to him
