Option-O 98mm Mizen Burrs - User Experience
Are you sure that you are talking about the same brew burrs the others are talking about? The ones we have were custom made to our order with our logo on the rear side. I highly doubt that they were available 15 month ago from any other source than ours. I will not intervene in this thread, but it l...

Niche Zero - Hypersensitivity of grind setting
Actually the springs will compensate the thread tolerance. Try to make a bigger adjustment and go back to the number you want to have the setting. If that doesn't work from the coarser side, then try the other direction. So if you are at 17 and want to go to 18, go to 30 and then back to 18. The

98mm Burrs for Brew
mThere is 1 thing which you guys seem to ignore. Time/development doesn't stand still. 2 years ago the cast burrs were state of the art, why is that when Mahlkönig burrs existed already? Because the Mahlkönig 98mm cast burrs are never made as accurate as SSP machines their burrs. 20 micron on each M...

EK43 Grain / Linseed Burr
The finer the thread pitch, the slower the feed rate. It just feeds the beans slower into the burrs and there is less pre breaking of the beans, some bean fragments or even smaller beans will get stuck under the carrier. The grain / linseed burrs do not grind fine enough in the espresso range

EK43 Pre Breaker Plate Issue
It is not a rare thing, there is a tool to get the burr carrier (Pre breaker) out. You can also screw 2 M5 screw inside the burr carrier and use 2 pliers, trying to get it out that way. Normally I would sand the shaft afterwards a bit and use some grease before I install it again, you should

External Pump for Slayer Single Group V3
We stopped messing arround with machines, but if I remember right it was also a Slayer option for U$1k. For me it was worth it because we added an additional mixed water tab and the sound of the machine (pump) was much cooler

Blind burrs vs burrs with screws
We also tried that and implemented Erics (Levercraft) burrs without screw holes inside an EK43. The magnets or vibrations are not the problem, but taking them out again is kind of impossible without destroying stuff. There was a variance of more than 70 microns. Removing them was still super tricky....

Slayer vs Synesso vs Speedster
I have both machines, the new v4 should be a bit better than the previous v3 single group which needed every 2 years a new gear pump ($750) and 1 transducer ($300) per year. The 1 year service kit for the Slayer is a huge bag and costs $300 wheareas the Synesso is built like a tank and needs close
