Metric (M8) Fitting Supplier
The big name in these items is Reid Supply (online). They furnish the machining industry. I use them for parts and fixtures for my woodworking shop. Many, many metric-standard screws, bolts, adaptors. And in brass, too

Who knows about a small HX espresso machine
Klaus, I am buying a Vibiemme HX Jr. in a few days. Like you I want something small. You probably know the dimensions, but if you don't they are 22.5 cm wide, 46 cm deep, 42.6cm high. In my kitchen, there is only 44 cm clearance under the cabinets. So that is my only limitation. You can find a

Temperature Sensor on Grouphead Mod
That helps. Thank you. The last picture depicts the read-out, dead center slightly high on the e61. The picture posted before that showed a front view of the e61 with a protruding thermocouple and wire and no DRO. Those are two different views of the equipment. The reason for my repeated questions (...

Temperature Sensor on Grouphead Mod
In a week I'll have my new Vibiemme HX Jr. I wanted to modify it with the GH thermometer from Chris Coffee. The CC website has an instruction sheet for the equipment. But they don't show a photo of installed. Nor do they say whether it is simple, or if it requires professional tools. I have no tools.

Usefulness of Grouphead Temperature and Shot Timer
I'm the OP, and I'm going to go out on a limb name brands. But my question, who makes and sells an aftermarket GH thermometer and a digital timer that can be mounted on the front or near the machine? a) who sells this stuff? b) what makes are desireable. c) what seller can advise on this

Usefulness of Grouphead Temperature and Shot Timer
Well, I'm weighing equipment and my resources, but I think I'll end up with a rather large HX machine. So, where does a guy buy accessory group head therms and a shot timer? Model types and dealer names please. And I don't want to spend $300 on a portafilter probe setup. I wish this kind of data was

Usefulness of Grouphead Temperature and Shot Timer
While meandering through a variety of purchase options, I noticed that some Espresso Machines have digital temp readings on various parts of the machine. The boiler, the grouphead. And a few have a built in shot timer. Hardly a day goes by here on HB where somebody doesn't quantify the length of a p...
