La Cimbali Junior D/1 - Direct connect upgrade?
Hello Michael: Thank you again for your very helpful comments. Today was the first time I started 'digging around' inside the machine. I understand now how the dose selection works particularly after re-reading your last post. I took a picture of what looks like someone's invention to route the over...

La Cimbali Junior D/1 - Direct connect upgrade?
Hello Michael: Thank you very much for your response. I did as you suggested and searched for the schematic and found one although it doesn't provide much detail. I am going to try to paste it in as a screenshot below. From what I see, it seems that only one of the probes is either raised or

La Cimbali Junior D/1 - Direct connect upgrade?
I recently purchased a 1998 La Cimbali Junior D/1 that is a direct connect machine with a ULKA vibration pump. Overall the machine is in great shape and hasn't seen much use. It has a small, complicated storage system apparently to block 'house' pressure from reaching the ULKA pump. [Please see phot...

Unknown Stovetop Espresso Maker and Steamer
Hi Todd: Thank you very much for your great reply. I actually bought the espresso maker a number of years ago and never tried doing anything with it until now. I had seen Fante's website back then but I had forgotten the name and was unable to find it now. Thank you also for your advice about

Unknown Stovetop Espresso Maker and Steamer
Thanks to both of you for your posts. Any idea on replacement gaskets? I have been making inquiries but at this point nothing has turned up. I am thinking that the primary gasket is the 'cone' shaped one inside the boiler that seals the stem to the basket. Thanks again

Unknown Stovetop Espresso Maker and Steamer
I bought this stovetop espresso maker and steamer off of eBay. There are no markings on it to identify the manufacturer, model, etc. Does anyone recognize it? Anyone know of a source for replacement gaskets? Thanks for whatever help you can offer. {image} {image} {image} {image}

Convert Wega Siria/Lavazza Blue Machine for ground coffee
UPDATE: I have been making coffee with the machine but there are some issues. The brew temperature is low. [+/- 185] I raised the setting on the pressurestat to 1.4 but still nothing close to 195/200. The feed from the exchanger to the brew head is relatively short and compact. I flushed the exchang...

Convert Wega Siria/Lavazza Blue Machine for ground coffee
UPDATE: I was able to remove the large upper 'disk' from the brew head with a cold chisel and hammer. It came right out. I purchased a new E-61 dispersion disk, screen and gasket. I haven't been able to make coffee yet as I am searching for a steam tip. The heating element was totally fried.
