I will most likely just increase my batch size to at least 300g from my std 227g on the Hottop. 227g has just worked so well for me...again based on my lower consumption rate and I still buy my beans from SM 90% of the time and buy a lot of variety at one time to last me at

Hi All, I've been off HB for a very long time, but making my way back because I'm looking to finally move on from my "JohnB" modified Hottop B2(circa 2012) to a gas roaster. It's served me well all these yrs, but I've always wanted to graduate to a gas roaster at some point. I always do 227g roasts

What SO's are you roasting for holiday for gifting?

When it comes to roasting for family and friends I tend to take the safe approach. Most aren't coffee freaks like myself. They tend to use auto drip machines and many add cream, etc to their coffee. I like roasting Centrals for gifts and 90% of the time it's going to be a Guat, since it's my favorit...
