Bottomless portafilter for Bezzera Z02s
Also, while YMMV, I'm no fan of using a triple basket, so you may wish to see if you can substitute a standard basket, or maybe use the triple basket the way AndyS does . {image} Triple basket cup stand, Image from "portafilter.net" and AndyS

Bottomless portafilter for Bezzera Z02s
I'm not sure how unique the group is on the Bezzera (meaning I don't know if it is compatible with generic E-61 portafilters), but a quick look at 1st-line turned up "this one" for the Bezzera. I have the E-61 equivalent ("link") which works great on E-61s (and so-so in Rancilio). EDIT, I think you ...

Did I get a good deal? Rancilio S27, Rocky, etc.
I've highlighted the rotary pump adjustment screw for brew pressure... don't mess with the OPV, it serves as an expansion valve and a safety on a rotary pump machine. {image}

Estro Profi: Brew Pressure Problem
Are you able to pump hot water out of the steam wand? When you first turn the machine on, open the steam wand valve and use the coffee button to activate the pump (do not activate the steam mode). This should fill the boiler and run water out of the steam wand once the boiler is full.

Understanding the impact of OPV settings?
I took a cursory glance of page 11 on this PDF ("link"). The OPV looks like it should be adjustable, but do you know that it is not? It looks like the entire assembly is sold in 12 and 14 bar versions (for vibe and rotary pump versions respectively). If you can decrease the spring tension (item

Questions for those who freeze coffee still in the bag...
I split immediately upon arrival into small Mason jars. I don't have enough small jars so some of the beans go into larger jars. I skip the one-way valve altogether and use the air tight Mason lids. One word of caution, with larger jars that have been in the freezer for an extended time (say greater...

Seeking advice on Cimbali Max Hybrid, maybe sep. drip grinder.
A couple of quick thoughts... Removing the doser on the Cimabli grinders is a total pain in the a$$. I started removing one from a Junior for cleaning and gave up for fear of breaking some non-replaceable bits. I think Dave (cannonfodder) has had the doser completely off a few Cimbali grinders now, ...

Flood Mitigation for Plumbed Espresso Machines
Thanks for the information... this is a great setup and certainly worth every penny. I need to look into the kit options and parts a bit more, but I'm curious if you considered (and discarded) the notion of a direct relay (vs X10 wireless) to control the cutoff of the power?
