I think they put some calcium carbonate on top of the puck just before locking and loading the portafilter. That's why they have the side shields on the machine to obscure the customer's view

Your ultimate WDT tool

I can't recommend highly enough, the Londinium distribution tool. It is amazing and I've been WDTing for years with every implement you can imagine... both bought and homemade. The wires are so thing but are also hardened so they are springy without distorting like softer metals. {link}

That looks pretty neat! Sorry If I'm missing something but what is it that is sweeing inside your funnel and how is that constructed/attached? Is it the HG one funnel wiper from the Manufacturer?
