Just to be rule this out - if you reinstalled the pistongaskets, check that your gaskets are placed correctly. "Piston gasket replacement on Elektra Microcasa a Leva"

Need help, just can't decide which lever to get

Hi If it was me, I would take the Pavoni Europiccola. I've had the Elektra MCAL and all 3 Europiccola-generations, and I kept the oldest 1.gen Europiccola. I too drink max 2 shots a day, and take long pauses with several weeks without espresso. Th e Europiccola is the smallest machine, so by far the...

Mazzer Omega hand grinder

Yes, the grinder shows 10-12 fingers on the inner burr, and the burr picture shows a inner burr that has more like 16-18 fingers. Not the same burrs

Olympia Cremina 67 dripping

If water is dripping from the bottom of the group, the problem is the piston-seals or the bore of the group. If the seal at the top of the group was the problem, you would have water coming out from the top of the group. Please look at the picture below. {image}

Another La Pavoni Europiccola restoration

Hi! According to Francescos site I would guess it to be a version 2.2 (1978-1983). {link} Lots of restoring tips here: {link} Acid on chrome is a bad idea, so use vinegar and citric acid only inside the boiler. No power could be a bad element, but could also be bad wiring

Coffee-Tech Solar Roaster after 3 years commercial use.

Thanks ... my modified Solar is not an FZ and will never be. The airflow difference makes them very different machines, as you know. It's more like halfways into the 2010 Torrefatorre-model 2kg: {link} I like tinkering with my machines, and the mods has been usefull to me

Coffee-Tech Solar Roaster after 3 years commercial use.

Thank you for a detailed review! I too own a Solar, an older second hand unit from 2008, that I have modified with On/Off switches for the individual heating elements, On/Off switch for the blower (plus an automated relay to create very short rapid pulses of air), and a BT probe. I only use my modif...

Does this Olympia Cremina video demonstrate proper steam function?

Hi The Cremina drops in pressure when you open the steam valve, but your video shows a bit too much pressure drop in my opinion. I would measure the resistance in the element to check if the element is ok - a standard Cremina-element is 1000 Watt

Artisan, Arduino and thermocouple woes.

I found out that the chassis on my macbook was accessible through the power plug. So with my macbook on battery, I connected a wire to the the roaster chassis (and actually also to the external fans, it was a Huky500), and connected the wires to the ground of the power plug (plugged into the laptop ...
