[SOLD] Versalab M3 Grinder with Ebony bean cap
Greetings folks, So I put this grinder up for sale previously, but got cold feet and decided to keep it. Well I am finally ready to say goodbye to this beautiful grinder. It is in amazing condition, and has never been used in a cafe setting. I briefly used it as a home espresso grinder, but predomin...

Measuring Extraction Yield on Siphon/Vac Pot Coffee?
Lots of really helpful info in this thread! Thank you to all whom have contributed. The timing couldn't be better as I have recently been dwelling on my vac-pot technique. I used to be in the habit of excessive updosing, which would sometimes taste good, others it would be completely overbearing, as...

Refractometer as a roasting tool
Not sure of Ed's other public uses, but he has brought it to markets I have brewed at the past couple weeks, and he has refracted my brews, factoring in my brew ratio to achieve ext. %. I'm pretty sure i was hitting around 1.4 TDS and just under 21%. I guess that's a bit high for unsifted

Fino Kettle Flow Rate for Pourover
Those are cool for heating water, but for the actual brewing process I prefer something a little more ergonomic. {image} Once you go handleless, you never go back

Coffee to water ratio
This thread sort of fizzled out, but is relevant to a recent discussion I was having with a roaster. He gave some basic parameters, and for one coffee it was 12-15 grams to 300 grams of water, while the other was even lower at 10-12 grams of coffee to 300 grams of water. This is on the low
