I'm not sure what you are asking. Is there a problem with the machine in question ? That you don't have possession of yet ? The rocket is on the upper scale of prosumer machines. You shouldn't have any problems with it. If you do, send it back. Most high end machine limitations are of the end

Intermittent Very High Water Inlet Pressure

If you are feeding it with an outside water source ( anything other than pour over) I would suggest a pressure regulator at the espresso machine. It is not uncommon to have water spikes

You can make it look as nice as any car finish- if you're willing to put the time and money into it. Using a base/clear coat paint with an hvlp gun. Wet sand and polish will provide a luxurious paint job your car will be envious of. Depends on how far you want to go

Heating element lug sparking

That is not considered normal. I would look for loose wire and or connectors. It also could be a faulty element shorting to ground. Either way you could end up being electrocuted or burning your house down. Stop using it and get it fixed

I really don't think one is more easier than another. The way they are made these days machines share alot of common designs and off the shelf parts. Some might be more technical in how they function but none the less as long as they are not overloaded with tons of electronics they are approachable....
