It will settle down when a very light film of coffee oil is on the metal. Unless you want to play around with rabbits fur and and ebony rod like in jr high school, I suggest you just do a bit of RDT and solve the whole problem

For what it's worth, I have the same exact problem in my apartment, with the same exact machine. I've had my maintenance people in to check everything and they can't find a cause. It only happens when my Alex Leva is on and idle

just get an Ode, you'll be happy with it

coarser grounds and or coffees that include either robusta or malabar/monsooned beans do this quite easily, most notably for me on manual levers too
