Cimbali Max Can't Grind Fine Enough. New Burrs?

{link} Contact them. That is their roastery and merchandise store but owned by the same people and in the same building is the Cimbali show room and service Center. They had to order the burrs for me but were able to get them without to much issue

Cimbali Max Can't Grind Fine Enough. New Burrs?

The max is different beast than the hybrid so you will probably have to go directly to a Cimbali distributor as there are actually few of these machines in the states. Since it is a hybrid of conical and flat burrs once you change out the flat burrs they should be good for the remainder of the machi...

Recommended hand mill grinder for Clever Coffee pourover

I don't know much about Peugot grinders so I'll defer to those that do, but I can say that when it comes to drip/pourover/siphon the Lido destroys my KYM, but when it comes to espresso the KYM beats up the Lido hardcore. Surprisingly its a draw with the Aeropress, really depends on the style of brew...

Should Caffeine be a Regulated Substance?

Where ever there is regulation there is money to be made by those making the rules. Caffeine tax anyone? I personally only get my caffeine from coffee and find energy drinks to be wretched both in taste and health wise, but I am not going to deny my fellow human the opportunity to have them if they ...

25 sec brewing and a poor crema. Help

The saying goes "Put crap in and get crap out". Until you have decent beans your coffee will be lacking. I would highly suggest that you look into home roasting. I am super cheap and use a bread machine and heat gun both of which can be picked up on the cheap and easily roast 1/2 Kilo

Sold My Francis X1. What to get now.

If straight espresso is your thing find a La Peppina in the used market or even Italian evil bay. Honestly though if I were to start over again it would be with really good brewed coffee. An aeropress or V60 with good technique is pretty cheap and allows you to really experience and understand good ...

Slight bitterness I cannot remove

Something I do with most coffees that are new to me is to brew at several different temps. I will normally brew at 190F, 195F, 200F, 205F for both brewed aeropress and espresso. Normally one temp will stand out when compared to the rest and I will fine tune from there. Mostly too bitter of coffee is
