'New' Cafelat (blue) piston seals v 'old' Cafelat (red) seals for CMA group
Oksy, so apparently when I changed the spring out for a stainless spring one a few years ago, I ended up with a piece of zip tie left behind, and it was wedged into the spring; must've shifted position when I changed out the seals. Seems to be somewhat better now, but still not 100%. There's a piece...

'New' Cafelat (blue) piston seals v 'old' Cafelat (red) seals for CMA group
Hm, I wonder if I dislodged the sleeve pulling up on the piston. I did make sure the piston is screwed in all the way. These seals are super tight, it was hard to pull the piston out of the group. Isn't the sleeve pushed down by the group cover? I didn't change the sleeve seals

'New' Cafelat (blue) piston seals v 'old' Cafelat (red) seals for CMA group
I just replaced the original BUNA (?) rubber seals with the blue cafelat seals. It's super tight and I'm having water flow issues - I think these are incorrect for this machine. Espressoparts had only the blue seals and had them as appropriate for the CMA. I think I'm gonna have to take them off

Which Cafelat seal piston for Bezzera Strega ?
I ordered the blue silicone cafelat seals for my CMA lever, and since putting them on, I'm hardly getting any water out of the group. Running with the lever/piston from the grouphead shows plenty of water coming through the holes in the sleeve, but with the lever/piston installed, it seems like the ...

2 group Gaggia Tell with a surprise inside
I expect the movie using the machine as a prop was a horror flick. Keep in mind your repair will be exposed to superheated water/steam. Best of luck

Post your cleaning regimen for Flojet + accumulator?
No. No accumulator, actually. Never really seemed to be a big problem with my machine. Thought about it but never did it. The TSP breaks down a lot of bio things. While not certified as a sanitizer, and wouldn't pass muster in a commercial setting, I'm mostly going by my nose and taste, and it does ...

Post your cleaning regimen for Flojet + accumulator?
I refill a 5gal bottle with filtered water. Every change, I sprinkle a little backflush detergent into the bottle and shake it up pretty well with warm water. Then I run it out through the flojet and flush plenty of clean water. I used to do bleach but it was a pain, and would still leave behind a f...
