(split from another thread by moderator...)

is that the rubber handled one? I've been wondering, where in the world can I order just the rubber LM handle? I want to switch out the handle on my naked PF to that one, the plastic thing scratches too easy for my tastes...

There once was a time that you could purchase just the handle, but now only the complete poratfilter is available. ;-(

The rubber handled portafilter is not my favorite for a number of reasons.
The handle dissolves when it comes into contact with Puro Caff etc.
Also, I find it less stable when tamping.

No special HB exceptions, eh?

Oh well, i'll try to console myself with malachi's bad impressions of the rubber handle.

Even the mighty HB cannot defeat the decisions of ESI. Really it is for the better anyhow. The current OEM PF from ESI is very good and the handles are red loctited to the body. So if you can get the handle to about 400 f. no trouble it comes right off ;-)
