I think this is what everybody has been jabbering about. Small- Well marked for Bar measurements at a good price and has an included bracket - yes the male thread fitting does come out of the back!!.

Yep- 1 bar is approx 14.5psi - it hads been hard to find a gauge , that was

affordable

had bar increments

fitting on the back

where the target pressure (.7-1.1 bar) was in the middle of the scale for best accuracy

I have gotten them from Grainger (http://www.grainger.com) and the Gauge Store (http://www.gaugestore.com).

Good source for 30psi/2bar gauges

Link to "Pressure gauges sourced"by happytamper on Tue Apr 25, 2006 11:30 pm

Try Omega

http://www.omega.ca/shop/getpricesc.asp

The product code is PGU-15L-30

I put one on my Pavoni Europiccola as well as my Pavoni Ambassador. Works well. Used some fittings from Home Depot and a bit of teflon tape to secure them as the threads were a little off. Price was right, 20.75 canadian, I think that is around 65 cents us. lol.

OPk all you gauge heads!! Now I'm good. The offerstill stands for anyone in my area. I do travel to Seattle every other week or so also. So when I get them, I'll have one extra.

Heck, I just thought that small incremental Bar scale was nifty!!

Happy Tamper, the rate is even better- I think $20.75= $.35 US

Where (on a Europiccola Millenium) would you mount this? Where the sight glass is??

Thanks

You would need a version of the gauge ( which they sell) that has the male thread stem coming out of the base , instead of the back.
Yep, you would unscrew that slotted insert in the top of the sight glass and adapt with what you can find. I do not know the metric size, thread pitch etc. It will be fun cruising through you local hardware store with you 'piccola under arm!!!!!

Cool, thanks! I don't see one finished in copper or brass though. I wouldn't want to put a chrome finished one on my Europiccola. It would simply ruin the esthetics ;-) Ever seen one like that in copper or brass??

Does anyone here know (or how to determine) the thread "pitch" of the Europiccola? That info would of course preclude the need to walk into a hardware store without said machine in tow...

Thanks,
