I too have found the Ethiopian beans sort of irregular in their visual characteristics but also like the flavors very much. So Bill, not to worry, just enjoy that good roast, and congratulations on getting a smaller than optimum roast on you TJ-067. Have you tried the same bean with a 800g load to see if the visual would change?

Great to hear Stephen, and thanks for the kind words! Regards to 800g batches, that's a very fair question, and no, I have not. I'm all out of the Konga, but have another Yirg on deck. Assuming I see the same irregularities on 500g batches, I'll play with some larger loads and see if they still present.
