So I got this in today..

Wanted to chime in as I canceled my order for my 58.35mm cafelat tamper today when I realized that this also fits my stock double basket along with my 15g (Just got that today also),and 18g, and 20g VST baskets. So thats a definite plus as i thought it wouldnt fit the stock ridged baskets.

Used it to make a iced latte today and man.. I can sell my espro calibrated tamper now. Quality, nice looking tamper and have no complaints. Waiting on my cafelat tamper holder to come.

I only sat it carefully down on the counter to take the 2 pictures. It won't be on the counter ever again. 8)

Beauty! I'm going to Australia later this week and will be keeping my eye open for places that sell Pullman. They're by far the nicest designed tampers I've seen on the market.

Being that the Pullman fits my OEM baskets helps tremendously in justifying the price. What a big difference when I tamp and do a small spin compared to my 58mm espro. Beautifully clean while the espro not so much. I did notice the puck came out better yesterday knocking it out but I'll see if that's consistent now. Usually have grind stuck behind around the edges on the bottom.

Just FYI for US folks,
The "official" VST tamper is a Pullman and is also quite comfortable (not a big step and doesn't have the angled edge)

Also, the tamper in the photo is a cat and cloud branded pullman here:

The angled edges of the pullmans and the kafatek levtamp really make them to top of my list of tampers.

I have ran across the vst tamper but didn't realise it's a Pullman so good info thanks!

Yes it's a cat and cloud tamper!! With shipping from Pullman was over 250. I was between the cobalt blue with a white cone or a white which I have now with a white cone. Then saw price after shipping and immediately closed my browser  when I saw it on their site 180 was easier even though I had to pay the Cali tax on it and with shipping came to 200.xx. but I figured since a design costs extra and I like theirs I went with it. I like all the colors they come in.

Haven't once had it catch the side and bind or any suction. Been in a few Instagram pics of mine since I bought it..

I was trying to get my hands on the lime green big step and CC had nothing for a while.

Got a SAI statesman from la marzocco and it's also a sharp edge with taper. 58,5mm

The 58.35 VST Pullman is a wonderful tamper. I alternate with the Kafatek Bellissimo which is 58.45. Both are flat bottom and have a nice weight at 396 g and 466 g respectively. I actually prefer the ergonomic feel of the Pullman which has been my "go to" lately. At $169 on the VST website, which includes one VST basket (15, 18, 20 or 22 gram) it's a great investment. Unfortunately, "You can have it any color so long as it is black" (Henry Ford)

Couldn't remember where I saw this. Thanks!

Just a quick heads up and correction to an earlier post. The Cafelat "VST" sized tampers were changed from 58.35 to 58.45mm around 3 years ago. At that time the base sides were adjusted from straight to tapered and the edge radius is now very minimal. I wouldn't say sharp but I reduced the radius quite considerably.
