I cut a bunch at a time with some aviation snips.
Between order and chaos there is espresso.
Semper discens.

I see from the link Gary posted that I started doing this in 2013! Still do it today, using #4 cone filters and tracing around my tamper, then cutting inside the circles with a scissors. Nice to have a clean screen after removing the portafilter. When I had a La Pavoni I used to do a re-lube every 3 months, and the top side of the screen was so clean it barely left a smudge on a paper towel. Time saved not having to use a group brush offsets the 5 min bother of cutting out a new batch once every week or two.
