I have an Olympia Cremina espresso machine from the 90s. It stopped working and has been sitting on a shelf for years.

Issues:

When you go to pull the espresso, the water just pours out

Also, the water is coming out black. It had been stored on the shelf with the top off, so it could be dust in there.

It needs a new water tank, and not sure hot to fix the issue of water pouring out (gasket?)

Any thoughts? Places that repair? Possible costs?

Thank you!

Whatever it is, it is worth repairing.

I would think that the first thing would be to do a good cleaning (get some Cafiza or something similar), replacement of group head gaskets and then going from there...

The water tank is also the boiler. Why are you saying that it needs replacing?

Where in NJ are you?

David, the owner of Rojo's Roastery in Lambertville, has done repairs in the past.

If you are handy, Orphan Espresso has a library of videos and text rebuild instructions. Here's a video.
Also the current U.S. distributor and servicer of Olympia Express is Cerini Brothers in New York. They can evaluate your Cremina, which is almost definitely worth fixing.

What I WOULD do for a good cup of coffee!
