I'm looking for a digital scale to improve the consistency of my dosing, but I don't like the idea of using batteries. Is anyone aware of a digital scale that is solar powered or maybe rechargeable through USB? Anything not using throw-away batteries would be fine.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Why not just use rechargeable "AAA' or 'AA' batteries in a conventional scale?
You would likely have a larger selection of scales/features to choose from.

I believe the Acaia Pearl and Lunar are both rechargeable via USB.

I can appreciate wanting to be as green as possible. But my little AWS-1kg scale bought more than 3 years ago for under $10 on Amazon and used several times daily is still running just fine on the original 2 small AAA batteries. No telling how many years it will go before needing to replace them, and anything you buy will have some battery in it.
