Ok, new to pro machines. I just bought this monster for a future cafe. I won't have a water connection for a few weeks in the basement where it going for the time being. My question is: Can I use a big bottle of filtered water instead of pressurized water for the meantime? I am dying to get started on this!

Thank you any one for any help!

As long as you have the pump and hose (these are often external to the machine) and a hose and bucket for the drain it's not a problem. Rotary pumps suck up water quite well. Just don't let it run dry!

You will need to adjust your pump for the static pressure and dont run too long of a vertical rise from your 5 gallon jug to the pump but it should handle a few feet.

From the FAQs, also see Do most plumb-in machines require external pressure? Short answer: No, but you should use a check valve (or better yet a "foot valve") to prevent air from being reintroduced into the line.
