Are PV baskets available for purchase anywhere? After some searching I found the Bella Barista site, but they are sold out of the double baskets. I am trying to find a few extra 45mm baskets to fit my Peppina. I assume they will fit now that I chopped the pf, as depth might have been an issue (I was having some trouble with consistency, and the naked pf has helped me learn quite a bit about my grind, dose, and pre-infusion choices). Unfortunately, the chopping was less than aesthetically pleasing. Hopefully I can make the edges a bit nicer.

I figured that it might be easier to find baskets for a machine currently in production, and I don't want to have to buy a second Peppina in order to have more than one double basket. The machine is working well, but it would be nice to prep more than one basket to pull two shots when I have company. 1st line does not list PV baskets as a-la-carte items, but maybe I could talk them into selling me a few. Any recommendations?

best,
Jason

From what I've read, Vaneli's Espresso Machines stocks them, as does Good Coffee Company in Seattle (no website, phone Joe at (206) 622-5602). Jim at 1st-line.com didn't have any extra in stock awhile back, but may now.

About a month ago I purchased a couple of single baskets for my Ponte Vecchio Export from Joe at The Good Coffee Company. Joe is great to deal with and very quick with shipping.

Good luck

Email Katia at Ponte Vecchio directly - ponte-vecchio@libero.it - and they will post out parts at very reasonable rates (and are a pleasure to deal with). I got a new drip tray cover, replacement badge and a couple of double baskets for 50 euros, including postage. The down side is that you need to pay by bank transfer, which costs a few extra pounds/euros/dollars. But even so, still remarkably good value and much more personal service than you might get from one of the bigger manufacturers.
