Hi,
I am new to this group and would like to know where I can get parts for an old (15 to 20 years) Pavoni Professional model. Specifically, I need the portafilter retainig spring ( It holds the filter basket in the handle) and a new black handle for the portafilter which looks like it is going to fall off at any moment because of multiple splits and cracks.

The portafilter in pavonis does not have a retaining spring. The basket sits loosely in it. Some don't like this. I love it as this means you don't need a knock box. The parts for even old pavonis are easy to get from any pavoni distributor in your country or directly from Italy. I have no trouble obtaining parts here in Sydney for my 30 year old europiccola.

Spring retaining clip for portafilter

I do have a retaining spring or clip in my portafilter which prevents the coffeeholder from falling in the garbage when i tap it to remove the grounds. I am looking for another one for my sister who sent hers down the sink quite some time ago. here are some photos.

See, we all keep learning stuff here on HB every day!!! Alan, your the first one I have seen with a clip !! There are PF clips out there on the web - I suppose you could cut one down to fit the PF inside diameter.... or check Europeangift.com here in the states to see if they list one. From there you would at leas thave a part number to reference.

Give espressoparts.com or 1st line a try both are online and EspressoParts.com has the parts for the machines illustrated for easy identification.

My Ambassador also had a retaining clip. It broke and I took one out of the pressurized portafilter on a Barista machine I had. It fit perfect.
I wasn't born in Texas, but got here as fast as I could!
