My Pavoni lever has developed a leak from the bottom, but the water appears only after it has been turned off, and typically about 1/2 a cup of cold water can be found around the base in the morning after the machine has been used. I never leaks otherwise.
I took the base off (have to love that funky base screw!) and inspected the innards. I think the pressure unit nut that screws into the boiler is the cause. I don't know how to approach unscrewing it as the copper pipe running into it is brazed on to it, and there appears to be no room to turn the bolt even if I could.
Is there a systematic way to do it? I've uploaded some pics of the offending part.
Thanks!

I think the easiest thing to do is remove the heating element together with the copper tube by disconnecting the wires and then work on it while it is no longer in the machine. (Edited because I had originally misread your question).

Be very careful bending the tube back to place and use some food grade loctite to re-aligning it for the pressurestat space

Thanks for the prompt replies!
I took the machine apart and removed the heating element, cleaned up the pressure stat bolt and replaced, adding a gasket at the bottom and replaced the boiler gasket just in case.. So far so good- the machine does not leak on a test run, but I'll have to wait to see if it leaks once it gets cold...
