Hi hi,

Just bought Pavoni Europiccola on ebay. Dismantled, soaked, cleaned, put back together. One problem is that it leaks a little through the group until it is up to pressure. I thought at first this might mean bad piston seals but it pulls very hard against a choke. Any other thoughts?

What do you mean pulls hard against a choke?

If you mean you can choke the machine that doesn't mean your seals aren't bad. The seals would have to be unusable for the water to flow around the piston as it traveled down.

My guess is you do have bad seals. One sign is that they get better when the machine heats up, as they expand a bit.

If it were me I'd buy a rebuild kit and replace everything regardless of what state they might be in. It's so cheap to make your machine like new again.

Great... I'll do that. Rebuild kits are available from http://www.lapavoni.com or elsewhere any cheaper?

I don't know, I'm sorry. I'm lucky enough to be able to pick them up locally!
