Dan K brought in a sample of Paradise Roasters' new Hawaii Ka'u at last weeks get together. We did a little tasting - quite pleasant. I got alot of fruit and a solid nutty aroma after the grind. Some of the fruit disappeared during the tasting but still quite nutty, sweet and a nice fresh finish. Tim from CCC ID'd the origin by taste and looks. He pointed out an unusual ridge on the bean apparently unique to Kona coffees. The coffee is pretty pricey at $39.95 but it certainly ranks up there as one of the better Konas I have tried.

Cheers

Ka'u is a district south of Kona, and generally cheaper than it. However, if you had the Will and Grace lot, it did very well at the SCAA cupping pavillion and is selling at Kona prices.
