I'm having a small problem with my Europiccola. If my grind is too tight and it's a hard-to-pull shot, it leaks out of the sides around the portafilter. That is, I'm losing seal where the portafilter locks into the grouphead. This results in a terrible shot, with the puck disintegrating and grinds overflowing into the cup. It's a new development, and there's no gasket or anything that can be replaced. Wonder if anybody has any thoughts.

Bobby, there should be a gasket in there.... It's what holds the screen in place. Sounds like you need a new one.

Ah! Right you are. I vaguely recall it now. I changed all the gaskets a few months ago, maybe it's come unseated or I've blown it out somehow. Thanks.

There is a gasket there and it will look very flat. I know when I first removed the group from my Pavoni, I could not tell if it was a gasket or part of the casting. They will compress with age and heat, so do replace.
