Not enough pressure from pump espresso machine in low voltage condition

Hi,

My Hamilton Beach Espresso maker, works perfectly in my house.

I took it to my office, but there seem to be low voltage in all the power outlets, making my machine to work fair, making coffee with no pressure at all.

Anybody knows a solution for this issue? I've tried power surge regulators, but doesn't seem to work.

You might try something like this: http://www.apc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=67#anchor1. Of course, since this is a significant fraction of the cost of the machine, you'll have to decide if it's worth it.

Wow, the voltage must be really, really low. Have you measured it? One alternative is a manual lever espresso machine; they'll work at any voltage remotely close to 110.

I have voltage regulators, but the fuse is 5 A designed for computers, so it blows the fuse when I turn on.

I'll try changing it to a 10 A or 15 A fuse, to see what happen.

Or else use the Faemina lever machine. It's 220 V, so in 120 V takes longer to heat.
