I am not sure if this has been posted before, so forgive me if it has. I am going to get to work right away on these new techniques.

This is really revolutionary stuff! Just goes to show that the established dogma that we all blindly follow is sorely lacking.

Fantastic! Although the learning curve isn't too severe its probably complicated by all the old bad habits I've acquired. Thank you so much for "putting me on" the path to enlightenment. Ohmmmmm.

Who is this guy? I guess I can give these things a try, but it's all just the opposite of what everything thinks is 'right'....has anyone tried these techniques yet?

My favorite is the Greek etymology attributed to "freezo porto."

Ahh shucks, I thought I got it? Maybe my ohmmmmmmmmmm wasn't long enough. Maybe I should have added the presentation idea I had.

Here it is: When you do the 45 second pull don't just let it overflow out of the shot glass and into the drip tray, do like the Japanese restaurants with the expensive sake. In this case, put the shot glass in a low profile bowl so its centered in a mound of beans then when the brew cascades over the lip of the glass it will fill the bowl and make the beans float around it! Yeah baaaby, kewl,

YouTube comments are just as funny as the video, e.g.
That's awesome! Try adding some dried, used coffee from the day before (22,5%), this adds to reducing the bitter flavour.

By using water from the driptray instead of fresh tapwater, you can add some incredible aromas to your coffee and stop abusing precious water.

Hey, that pour looks a LOT like what I was getting from Silvia with the Virtuoso! Sweeeet! :o

Now I just gotta figure out what to do with this crappy German hand grinder. Maybe I can rough it up and pass it off as an antique.

(BTW, the Greek was genius.)

I didn't know it was possible to gush like that out of a pressurized PF!

That was awesome! I wonder how many pulls I'll need for a 45 second extraction with my Lusso? ;)

I'd also like to add that you get much better results after the 4th or 5th re-use of the grounds. I like to dump the grounds into the knock-box (should be muddy, if it's a solid puck you're doing it wrong), mix them up a bit, and just scoop them right back into the portafilter. You can even put some kool-aide into the water reservoir for a more sophisticated flavor.

Koolaid? I use Gatorade sports water for a distinguished, yet paradoxically adrenaline-pumping cup.
