No brew pressure in my Venus Isomac

My Venus Isomac suddenly stopped building pressure although I hear the pump run. I suspect that the pump is shot and that I need to put in a new one. Any suggestions on how to confirm this before I order a replacement? Also does anyone have any suggestions or instructions on how to swap pumps in this machine?
Lastly, I must confess I have not decalcified the machine in more than a year. Can calcium buildup be the cause for the malfunction? Thanks for any comments or suggestions.

Thanks for the response. I will follow the suggestion. What is the best way to decalcify this machine? Can it be backflushed or do I do it through the water tank?
