Two very exciting off-the-shelf roaster developments: Behmor and Hottop xxxB.
Both of these show promise for approximating the on-the-fly, instant responsiveness of heatgun/dogbow roasting. First time in 4+ years I've got some hope that I can use some classy design and technology without giving up the hands-on elements and skills I've accumulated with HG/DB. Big winners if the 1st looks are on target.
Been a couple of months since I've been on any coffee forum, so I'm a little startled by these two. I want to know more and check in to HB to follow developments. However, past experience tells me that I'll have to follow some unbearably long threads, put up with newbies to the topic like myself, or check in every hour to separate new developments from the chaff.
Maybe one or two stickies with their own moderator(s) to address some FAQs, extract relevant data from posts, and develop a data/experience base? Good for me, maybe others.
