The ramp/soak PID is sitting on the bench, waiting for UPS to deliver.

HB has few posts on homeroasting, but you have piqued my interest with your morsel of information. Is there something more substantial that you will be sharing with us? I've yet to take the homeroasting plunge despite the encouragement and prodding of Mike and Abe... the first question on my mind: "Why would I take a perfectly functional popcorn popper and add hundreds of dollars of electronics to it?"

Interesting. Does it blow air, or is it a stirrer type unit only? the stir crazy has to be augmented with a convection oven lid to make it work for coffee roasting.

Jim, I'm just hopelessly behind the curve. I guess this Cuisinart thing is more or less a Stir Crazy, which I've never seen in action. As you say, it probably needs the CO on top.
