First of all Hallo to all Members here.

I bought myself a new Isomac Mondiale and have some trouble to get along with it to get a good cup out .
Is anyone here with some tips to handle the Mondiale? I changed her for a Cimbali Junior and can not get along with the Mondiale so I'm very thankful for any tip regarding this machine.

Greetings from Aruba
Kasi

I checked out your restaurant's website.... wish that I could visit to diagnose the problem in person!

You didn't say specifically what is troubling the Mondiale, however, the Getting Started section of the Resources page is my recommended reading, especially How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love HXs. Compare the guidelines in that writeup and that of the Cimbali Junior's and you'll see that the flush routine is quite different. I know it caused me a bit of confusion going the opposite direction (E61 / HX to Cimbali Junior), i.e., I was overflushing the Junior because of my prior experience with espresso machines like the Isomac Mondiale. It's my guess that you're underflushing and getting bitter espresso.

PS: David Morris is an HB member (beta14ok) and Mondiale owner; if you have questions specific to the Mondiale, he can help you too.

Thanks Dan
It was very helpful to read all of this and I start to understand now better what's brewing on :D

The biggest problem was that the Machine was shipped broken to me and we have to fix some stuff like a broken water tank, a leaking pipe and a loose microswitch so i wasn't sure if the rest is working well because the Cimbali did a much better job at first.

Oh, that's really a shame. It's a sharp looking machine and I like the ergonomics (nice joystick controls for steam / water, driptray drains well, good steam arm articulation / depth). Good luck in your repairs, let us know how it works out. The Mondiale is definitely capable of making good espresso and cappuccinos.
