Hi All,

I collect (predominantly) single group commercial vintage lever machines for a hobby. A friend of mine referred me to a local junk shop today, she said it 'had one of those funny old machines in it'. I jumped in the car and shot down there. Very exciting. There are very few vintage machines in NZ, most being privately imported by collectors such as myself. To find one in a junk shop would be a pretty rare event around here.

I would love to know if anyone has any info on what I found. I apologise for the lack of pics:

Details:
3gr commercial spring lever
1 boiler/group, volume of each maybe around 400-500ml
~53mm pf's
The lever action is reversed. The handles are at rest in the down position
Make - 'Teddy', made in France and has a teddy bear integrated into the logo
Body - scalloped chrome (think 50's faema)
Age - I am confident that it is a 50's machine looking at the cloth wiring and fittings
Size - a very compact machine. Only about 2/3 size of my 70's 3gr carimali at home

Teddy is, or perhaps, was a manufacturer of commercial roasting equipment. Has anyone come across one of their machines before?

I have about six machines to play with at the moment. I will be passing on this one. Instead, I have a friend who I think will be keen. If he isn't, I will repost here and anyone can PM me if they want a challenging quirky project (keeping in mind my location for shipping).

cheers
Paul

If anyone wishes to pursue this I can put them in touch with the shop and probably help arrange shipping for a fellow member. The asking price is NZ$650 (US$410).

cheers
