I know it isn't the most glamourous of home barista tools, but it is essental to some of us. My old knock box was a tad on the small side. I had my doubts as to whether the new one would be an huge improvement over my Starbucks Mk 1... Well, you can judge for yourselves.

Now that's what I call a knock box!

I'll have to get me one of those. The one I currently use is a bit on the "cozy" side.

Well other than knock box envy, I can think of two reasons to buy a new knock box - if you empty your knock box many times a day or if your old knock box is beating up your portafilter (the bar is kaput). In my case there is a third - I got tired of hiding the Starbucks Logo under a yellow label :) For me all of the above was true.

That Bumper is almost as big as my kitchen garbage can! It's a monster. Bet the pucks don't miss too often in that one. Can't wait for those to come back into stock. I just need to find a place on the counter for it.

Yeah - I'm pulling more shots just so I can give that baby a whack!

I figure for home use the bumper and spares are good for about 15 years.

Yes, it's quite the item isn't it?

And it may be BIG, but it doesn't take any more counter space than my old one (in fact less I think)

I wish I had picked up one during the sale, but I already had an order in, and didn't quite have the cash.

My knockbox has more room than anyones, though (of course, it doubles as our kitchen trash can).

A knockbox is on my list, but will have to wait for awhile.

You're right. It definitely takes up less space, Jon. Looks good next to your machine!

Matt, the wish list is never ending.

You have been responsible for two of the things I think I NEED now (new knockbox, smaller pitcher). Just gotta sell the wife. Since we are moving out of our duplex in the next couple of months (buying our first house), I think I may be able to get some toys in the transition ('But the knockbox will help me keep the kitchen clean'). Of course the Mazzer that I really want will probably have to wait.

Matt,

Maybe you can roll the Mazzer up into your mortgage. It'll only cost $50 a year for 30 years,
