The single agitator arm gives the roaster an interesting sound.

If the roasts are slow, you may be able to get faster roasts with an extra arm, since increasing the agitation is like adding more airflow.

Thanks for the tip Jim. Right now the roast time is OK, 18-24 min for my espresso-roasts, but anyhow, that would be a great future to add.

Wow, nice work, I like it.

Are you using a ceramic or infrared heater there?

Hi

It's a infra red heater, made of ceramic. Only 800 W, but it works :D

Hi Marvin

Usually i go with 4 dl / 250 grams roasted beans (maybe 280-290 grams green beans). But it works with more beans to, but that's to much for my consumption (250 grams are perfect for 4-5-6 days).

I'm not sure about the maximum with this heater-element but before when I used different kind of heaters I luckily roasted up to 1 liter / 625 grams roasted. I guess that with this smaller element it won't do that but maybe up to 6-7 dl / 450 grams roasted beans is possible, will try out that some day.
