There is a guy on CG that has one. I THINK it is 110v. Steve somebody - I think- i personally know so little of these machines that I can't be trusted. :wink:

I just heard from a maven that Hammacher-Schlemmer used to sell 110V models in the US

Looks as though the Army base in Alabama may have bought their espresso-machine from H-S:

JonR10 on HB has a mini Gaggia. He's the fellow of "espronography fame"

Yep, Thanks Lino, JonR10 from Texas- he and I just exchanged a note regarding the Espresso parts place in arlington Texas that carries parts for the Mini's ( That only becomes important if you actually get one) Ok I'm stupid, Espronography??

Espronography = photographs of bottomless portafilter extractions. The term really didn't catch on. "Espresso porn" is the popular term; my early blog entry, The Neverending Novelty of Nakedness... Not, explains a bit more about the start of the phenomena.

I can't claim to have coined the term any more than Steven Colbert can call 'truthiness' his own invention, but in the context of lurid close-up photography of steamy-hot beverages, I have re-invented the word 'exxxpresso'. It is with great humility that I plan to accept next year's award from the American Dialect Society. Assuming lever machines achieve world domination in the remaining months of 2006...
