Dan,
I really like this new forum. I also like the Marketplace section so we can all see what's up and coming. Although I like the other big coffee sites, I think this provides a unique opportunity for us nuts to hear from the vendors about new machines. Such posts are expressly forbidden on some other sites. I understand why they have decided this, but I hope that your experimental model succeeds. I think all home barista wannabes (myself included) always wonder if we should wait until next year to see what's around the corner. Now we can find out before it's released.

Gratefully,
Jeff Johnson

I'm with you Jeff.

Lots of new stuff comes out in time for the Christmas season and the Marketplace forum hopefully will be a good place for Q & A. Note however that it isn't a free-for-all -- only sponsors can create a new thread in the Marketplace and they've agreed to be civil (e.g., only reply to question from threads they created, not competitors).

Not that such a rule is genuinely necessary. TerryZ (espressoParts.com / home-espresso.com), Chris (Chris' Coffee Service), Jim (1st-line), Matt (Intelligentsia), Daryn / PeterG (Counter Culture Coffee), and Geoff (Pheasant Creek Coffee) are all class acts. I don't know what it is about this business, but it attracts passionate personalities. I am happy to have them as advertisers for this little corner of the Espresso-net.
