Has anyone compiled a list of quality roasters in a spreadsheet? I always seem to forget various roasters. I know there are a lot, and don't expect anyone to have a complete list, but any kind of list anyone has put together would be great.

thanks

You may start with the reviews list in coffeecuppers.com and the sponsors of coffeereview.com

Edit: I tried almost all the sponsor of hb and my favorites are:

1. Terroir Coffee (not hb sponsor)
2. Klatch Roasting
3. Paradise Roaster
Ale

A few of my favorites:
It is not coincidence that they are HB sponsors. :)

Note: Sometimes "favorites" threads like this are exploited by unscrupulous online purveyors to promote their product. If you are new to the site and don't have a history of at least 15 posts, please don't post endorsements to this thread. Thanks in advance for your understanding.

I'd add to the list Coffee Emergency. From their espresso offerings I particularly like Tribal Medicine. Their single origin Sanani, which sadly is all gone, was my favorite S/O in 2006

Metropolis Coffee and Riley's coffee and fudge are good. June makes some awesome fudge.

Counter Culture Coffee (Aficionado/Toscano/La Forza) and Intelligentsia (Black Cat/Kid O's) are my staples.

Cheers

OK, these are the ones I have bookmarked and have enjoyed. Some have already been mentioned, but that's the way it goes. Heavy on the West Coast, but that's also the way it goes, given my location. ;^)

Listed in alphabetical order:

There are, of course, dozens of others, but here are my Top 15 (for whatever that's worth!). But I just as easily have listed 25, 30, or more . . .

Cheers,
Jason

Agree. The Tribal Medicine is an extremely good espresso.

Brown in San Antonio never gets enough love.

I got a free bag of FVH about a year or two ago. It was good. On par with lots of reputable roasters out there.

FVH has gained a reputation of some exceptionally clean coffee (and quite good to boot), and Brown has just kept right on improving, with very few actually taking notice.

I've been sent a lot of coffee from a lot of people, and my favorite, on average (not for just one or two coffees/blends) is Brown. It wasn't at the time, but things change.

Counter Culture is also a favorite, as is PT's.

I still haven't gotten around to trying out Stumptown, but I've been meaning to for quite some time.

I don't want to name others I've tried, as I don't want to give bad impressions by not listing among "favorites".

I just thought Brown should get more(some?) H-B love.
