Yes I meant that machine; it was the first time I see (or pay attention to) exposed groups of this sort.

Looks beautiful really. And I really do like all-chrome levers I think.

Here is a photo of my Cappuccino Amore. I bought (stole) the machine at $50 shipped. Its complete and fully functional. I'm still working on getting it dialed in (this is my first morning with her). Yeah so far its been an adventure to say the least. I'm having fun and while the espresso hasn't been too tasty yet the aroma has been heavenly. I'm close. I'm glad to finally be a lever head!

Don't mind the plastic tamper, believe it or not its a PERFECT fit for the Amore's basket. Nice seal, couldn't have made a tamper fit better myself from scratch. Fun times!

What an excellent site! Here is my first machine. It is SiBAR made by S.I.C.A.D. in Turin (Torino) Italy. Any thoughts on when it was made or if I can buy parts for it?ImageImage

Wow! stunning blue...! :D

p.s. is it similar to the mini-gaggia? some folks here should be able to help you.

Thank you CoffeeOwl for putting me on the right track. It seems that my machine which is branded SiBar and made or distributed by SICAD in Turin, Italy is the same earlier or later model as the Mini-Gaggia made in Spain.

As I had mentioned on another thread, I had been eyeballing a MCAL and saw that the prices shot way up. I found a complete kit at 1st line and pulled the trigger. I've had it a bit now but wanted to post an image or 2 of it. At work a few weeks ago just looking it over:

yea! that is pretty!
I happily already have Richard's excellent beauty too and so far that's all - I keep praying. Elektra will come.
On the other hand,... I wonder how the folks at my office will react - I won't resist taking it there and having a load of espressi during the boring tiring eight hours.

Hi.

Here is a picture of my home setup:

It's an Aurora Export, one of the few spring lever machines with HX.

Andyone-

That is an awesome looking spring lever machine! I'd surely love to get/try an espresso from it.

Goes great with the black grinder - is the grinder a Mazzer Major or Super Jolly? That chrome finish on the top portion looks quite different from other Mazzer's I've seen here on HB

Hi caeffe.

The espresso is fine, just playing around with preinfusion as it is new in my kitchen :D
The grinder is a Mazzer Kony.
