NEW MINI Vivaldi II Model S1 Dual Boiler by La Spaziale

Would you love a double boiler espresso machine, but can't install the plumbing required by most rotary pumps? Well then look at what just arrived this past Friday:

Image
Compact and powerful

Image
Easily accessible pull-out water tank

Image
Electronically controlled brew temperature

I have 8 pre-sold and never advertised it anywhere until now. They are also ETL and UL approved. Other features:
  • Same software as regular Vivaldi II 15 & 20 easy to switch from one to the other.
  • Software shuts pump off if runs too long so you can not burn it out.
  • Lever steam arm same as La Spaziale uses on their commercial machines.
  • 1.2 Liter Steam Boiler but same 1250 watt heater. It's a steaming power house.
  • Sensor shuts power when water is low, controlled by magnetic float.
  • Timer can be added same one as regular Vivaldi II.
  • Vibe pump
The selling price is $200.00 less than Regular Vivaldi II.

Link to "La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi II POUROVER dual boiler espresso machine"by errickson on Mon Nov 12, 2007 1:31 pm

Looking fwd to receiving mine! Thanks again for addressing this request from the marketplace. Question: What is the size/capacity of the H2O resevoir? Didn't see it here or on the website? Thanks!
-----------------------------------------
Doh! Please disregard. Quick Google revealed the following...Unless this has been modified for your specs:

"3 ltr Handfill tank with low water level indicator"

What would be the recommended surge protector? Living atop a granite ridge amidst granite mountains -- we do get electrical storms when the conditions are right.

That's a lovely machine!

Hi Trisha,
I cut-and-pasted this info below from Chas Rimpo's website he created for the S1. I had just read it a few minutes prior to you posting your question. Hope it helps...

Here is the direct link: http://www.rimpo.org/s1v2/faqs.htm

...and here is the info:
Where can I find a 20A surge suppressor?

The computer controller board in the S1 Vivaldi II costs several hundred dollars if it needs to be replaced due to a circumstance not covered under warranty. If you live in a lightning or power surge prone area, a surge suppressor is a good idea. Thanks to the prevalence of computers and consumer electronics you can find inexpensive ones almost anywhere that will work with the 15 amp version of the S1 Vivaldi II. HOWEVER, if you have a 20 amp S1 Vivaldi II model, finding a 20A surge suppressor with the NEMA 5-20 outlets is a challenge. The best and least expensive I have found - and I purchased one - is the Triplite Isobar "Ultra Copy" which was apparently designed with copy machines in mind. It plugs directly into a 20A NEMA 5-20 duplex outlet.

Considering product cost plus shipping, the following link is the least expensive source I have found. It also has full specs on the device. http://www.c-source.com/csource/n...?part_no=ULTRACOPY

I noticed that Chris' original post linked to the plumbed Vivaldi S1, and not the pourover 'Mini' version. The link above is corrected if you wanted to see all the specs at Chris' Coffee Service.

And I could get it for $200 less than that as the winner of the Holiday Delights from Chris Coffee:

* $200 off purchase of La Spaziale Vivaldi Mini from http://www.chriscoffee.com. *

Except... I already have the regular Vivaldi II (purchased from Chris and I absolutely love it btw!)

Chris...would the vibe pump in the "mini Spaz" be quieter than that on my Anita?
Thanks...

Yes the machine is quieter that an Anita. It is not the pump that is more or less noisy, it is the amount of vibration.
