Had my Europiccola for over a year now and what a glorious year it has been... awesome espresso!

However I am getting the upgrade bug. I've been thinking about the Elektra Casa Leva - how would you compare it to the La Pavoni? Worth the upgrade for twice the cost?

La Pavoni is a great machine. Still use mine (older two switch model, no p-stat) from time to time. The elektra is now the one I use at home. It makes slightly less full bodied espresso and is more grind sensitive. Steams much better than La pav and is not so quick to overheat, also quite a bit more physically stable. All in all, for me, my preferred machine.

Great to have both, when I want a full bodied somewhat syrupy espresso the La Pav with a hard tamp and a strong pressure on the lever still remains my favorite. Good idea to spring for a spring machine as your next lever.
