If you have not tried this, give it a shot before summer is over (Southern Hemisphere folks can print this out for future reference):
- Pre-chill a glass- about 10 ounces in size by filling it with ice cubes and cold water
- Pull a shot of espresso (I found that a single was sufficient).
- Empty the glass of the water, add ice if necessary, and pour the shot over the ice.
- Pour in some chilled, quality drinking water (Brita filtered water works quite nicely for this)
Both my wife and I found that drinking this on a near-empty stomach gave a more dynamic caffeine rush than the double cappuccino we have in the mornings even though I used exactly the same coffee to make them. Just letting you know.
