So after stripping down and rebuilding my Pavoni Pro, i find that i have somehow deleted all the photos of how it was wired up. I've spent a while looking online, but i can't find a wiring diagram for my model. Not sure how old it is (bought it from eBay) but i'd guess 10 - 20 years. There is two contact points on the pressurestat, two for the fuse and two for the heating element, the switch has 4 contact points (2 still with the wires attached). The machine is 240v, but hopefully someone out there may still be able to help me......

By the look of the catalogues at http://jeromeetisabelle.free.fr/p...?lng=fr&diapo_id=5 i think my machine is 1985 or a little earlier as it doesn't have the sight glass cover. If anyone has a Pavoni Pro from this era, it would be great if you could tell me how it is wired. Failing that do people know broadly the general wiring, e.g. live / neutral first connects to switch / fuse / heating element / pressurestat?

I have a Gaggia Factory (Pavoni pro with a different name tag). I have made a few mods to it but the basic wiring appears to be the same. I will pull the bottom off of it tonight and take some photos. Hopefully that will help out. My machine is the P-stat controlled single switch like yours.

In fact, mid page, Catalogue La Pavoni Professional 1998 page 3.jpg is my machine. I have never seen the LaPav branded with the tin-man hat on the boiler.

Send me your email address (cannonfodder@(deletethis)home-barista.com) and I will email you the full resolution photos in addition to the forum posted shots.

You can copy the wiring on mine without any problems, the only difference is the thermal fuse.
The thermal fuse must be serial between the heating element and the power cord.

The color of different cables is not very important in a alternative current circuit.
Note than there is only 3 connectors of 4 used on the on/off button.

Nice photos. Since they have already been posted, I will refrain from duplicating the information, unless someone wants to see the bottom of the Gaggia.

The only problem i have is that on my machine, the heating element contact points (and the fuse) are like those of the switch and pressurestat and only allow one wire to be connected to them. I don't see how i can connect two wires to this and so put the fuse in series. With regards the switch, before i took it apart there were definitely 4 wires connected to it, 2 of which i've left connected. Maybe these four connections get around the other problem? Unfortunately my electronics knowledge is very poor....
