I chickened out and didn't replace the bearings. After a couple of months of not working on it, I figured I had better get it back together soon or I'd forget where everything goes. Decided to clean it up some more.

I did manage to get the hopper apart, this thing is tricky.

The rotating doser was caked on with coffee.

It clean up nicely though.

Looking much better now, I cleanup some of the sharp and uneven edges on the aluminum hopper housing with a Dremel tool while I had it apart.

Turns out there is a thin springy wire that connects the counter with the lever. It was broken when I got the unit and I never noticed until I got it all apart. No sense replacing it since I'll never be filling up the doser anyway. The dose counter itself is not shown in this picture since I forgot to install it when I took the picture.

That was all I got done before heading off to see an enjoyable movie you may have heard of: "The Dark Knight".
