How to adjust La Cimbali Junior doser

Hello,

I just received my La Cimbali Junior grinder from 1st line. I have it dialed in as far as grind. I was curious about the doser. There is a doser adjustment screw that doesn't seem to turn properly.

Does anyone have any advice as to how to free up the this knob that is inside of the doser so that I can adjust the dose?

There's no need to bother unless you own a very busy cafe. The dosing mechanism isn't accurate unless you keep the doser half full so the weight of the ground coffee will assure the pie-shaped wedge is full.

If you did ever need to turn that knob, you should press down on it while you turn. I remember reading that back when I first bought my Junior, but the only time I've needed to turn it was to remove the parts for cleaning.

Thats the problem, I am not able to push it down and turn it. IT wont move. When I ry to turn it in the - direction the "star" turns..

My CMH just arrived... and I too cannot adjust the "Dose regulating screw".

I realize that it may not matter if but seems odd.

It does not matter unless you intend to fill the doser hopper with about 200g of coffee and use it as intended.

It's quite stiff to adjust.
