I've tried to adjust my grinder for less fine grind level but I think the result is still too fine for me. It might be just a feature of this machine as I have read on the forum but I would like to ask does anyone succeed to adjust grind level more rough with some modification?

I have thought to increase distance between grinders, it may cause betters result..?! Or maybe the only solution is buy new better grinder. Thanks for answers.

See Should I get Krups GVX2 burr grinder? Hate to say it, I received this grinder as a gift and felt that I overpaid. I gave it to one of my co-workers who thinks our office coffee is good. You cannot adjust the grind for a proper espresso because its "grinding knubs" create too many fines independent of the setting.

I was curious about the interior equipment of Krups GVX2 and I opened it. I found a way how to adjust grind level to out of normal range. Now I'm satisfied about my coffee, it's not powder any more. Basically it's very simple to change the range - just to change limits of grinder helices.

If someone are interested about the adjustment, I can give more information by email

The Krups is little more than a hammer mill. The 'burrs' do not actually cut/shave the beans like a real burr mill. The large knobs simply crush and pulverize the coffee beans. Putting your coffee in a bag and pounding it with a hammer would be just as effective. Sorry.
